Get Expert Insight into the Right Rotational Molding Materials
When it comes to rotational molding materials, there are a lot to choose from. At GVL Poly, we specialize in working with a wide range of materials. With our experience, we can help you determine what’s best for your specific needs. Learn more about the materials we use below, or reach out to us with questions.
We Specialize in the Following Materials
LLDPE
Linear low-density polyethylene is a popular choice due to its excellent flexibility and impact resistance. It’s often used in consumer articles, playground equipment, toys, and agricultural parts.
MDPE
Medium-density polyethylene has a higher strength and stiffness compared to LLDPE. You can find this in storage tanks, pallets, large-size playground equipment, fan housings, and barriers.
HDPE
High-density polyethylene has excellent strength, stiffness, and chemical resistance. It’s most often used for large industrial tanks, cab components, consoles, and fuel tanks.
XLPE
Cross-linked polyethylene has enhanced thermal and mechanical properties to provide high stiffness and low temperature impact properties. This makes it perfect for chemical storage tanks, diesel tanks, and gasoline tanks.
Nylon 6
With its high strength, high temperature resistance, toughness, and abrasion resistance, nylon 6 is a popular choice in applications such as chemical storage tanks and hydraulic reservoir tanks.
Polypropylene
Polypropylene has great chemical and fatigue resistance, along with superior stiffness. As such, it’s great for plumbing components and tanks.
